Piyush Goyal meets Egyptian Foreign Affairs Minister to discuss collaboration opportunities in AI and pharmaceuticals.

Piyush Goyal held an important meeting with an Egyptian delegation led by Badr Abdelatty to explore new opportunities for strengthening economic cooperation between India and Egypt. The discussions focused on enhancing trade, investment, infrastructure development, connectivity, and building resilient global supply chains to support long-term economic growth for both countries.
Sharing details about the meeting, Goyal stated that the talks were productive and aimed at deepening India-Egypt economic relations through stronger business-to-business engagement and strategic collaboration across multiple sectors. Both nations discussed ways to expand cooperation in pharmaceuticals, energy, logistics, digitisation, artificial intelligence, tourism, and manufacturing. The leaders also reaffirmed their shared commitment to further strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries.
The meeting highlighted the growing importance of India-Egypt relations as both countries seek to diversify trade partnerships and improve economic resilience in a rapidly changing global environment. Officials from both sides acknowledged the opportunities available for joint ventures, increased investments, and technology exchange in emerging industries.
Goyal also held separate discussions with senior leaders and policymakers from Germany regarding the strengthening of India-Germany economic cooperation and progress on the India-European Union trade partnership. The talks focused on improving the business environment, boosting investment flows, and enhancing collaboration in important sectors such as textiles, pharmaceuticals, renewable energy, mobility, and manufacturing.
Both India and Germany recognized the immense potential for expanding bilateral trade and promoting innovation through stronger industry engagement. Renewable energy and manufacturing emerged as key areas of future cooperation, reflecting the shared interest in sustainable economic development. Goyal emphasized that closer partnerships with global economies would help create more resilient supply chains and unlock new opportunities for economic growth, innovation, and international collaboration across high-growth sectors.
