An old video of retired Air Marshal Jeetendra Mishra with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Adampur Air Base in Punjab has resurfaced on social media and is drawing attention after Mishra was appointed as the first Chief Executive Officer of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust. The video was recorded in May 2025, when Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Adampur Air Base following the military confrontation between India and Pakistan during Operation Sindoor. At the time, Mishra was serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Indian Air Force’s Western Air Command.

Mishra’s appearance alongside the Prime Minister has now gained renewed interest because of his recent appointment to a key administrative position associated with the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. His transition from one of the Indian Air Force’s senior operational commands to the administration of the temple trust has also brought greater attention to his military career.

During Operation Sindoor, Mishra was among the senior military commanders responsible for the Western Air Command. The operation was launched in May 2025 following the Pahalgam terror attack and was followed by several days of military exchanges between India and Pakistan. The confrontation involved aircraft, missiles, drones and other military systems before both sides agreed to halt military action on May 10.

Mishra was later recognised for his service during the operation with the Sarvottam Yudh Seva Medal. He retired from the Indian Air Force in April 2026 after nearly four decades of service. Born into a military family, Mishra joined the Indian Air Force as a fighter pilot and went on to hold several important operational and command positions. Over his career, he accumulated more than 3,000 hours of flying experience and served as a fighter pilot, combat leader and experimental test pilot. He also held senior responsibilities at Air Headquarters and other key IAF establishments.

His appointment as the first CEO of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust represents a new phase in his career. The position comes as the Ram Temple administration continues to expand its operations and manage the growing number of devotees visiting Ayodhya. Mishra has described his new responsibility as another opportunity to serve the nation and devotees. His extensive experience in leadership, administration and managing large-scale operations is expected to be relevant to his new role.

The resurfaced Adampur video has therefore attracted attention not only because it features Prime Minister Modi, but also because it captures Mishra during an important phase of his military career, months before he moved from the Indian Air Force to the administration of the Ram Temple Trust.
