The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), a leading public sector enterprise in travel and tourism, is further enhancing its reputation in experiential travel with its flagship offering—the Buddhist Circuit Special Tourist Train. This premium service has gained global recognition for combining spirituality, heritage, and luxury into one seamless journey.

The all-inclusive 7-night, 8-day Buddhist Circuit Tour begins from Safdarjung Railway Station in New Delhi and takes travelers on a deeply spiritual journey across key destinations linked to the life of Gautama Buddha. The itinerary covers Bodh Gaya, Nalanda via Rajgir, Varanasi including Sarnath, Lumbini, Kushinagar, and Shravasti. The journey concludes with a visit to the iconic Taj Mahal, blending spiritual exploration with cultural heritage.

Passengers travel aboard a fully air-conditioned deluxe train featuring 12 modern LHB coaches designed for comfort and safety. Travelers can choose between AC First Class and AC Two Tier accommodations. The AC First Class offers spacious cabins with added privacy and amenities like personal lockers, while the AC Two Tier coaches have been redesigned to provide larger cabins with separate seating areas for improved comfort.

To enhance the onboard experience, the train includes two stylish dining cars, each with a seating capacity of 64 passengers, offering a pleasant group dining environment. A fully equipped kitchen serves a variety of international and regional dishes to suit different tastes. As part of a limited-time promotion, IRCTC is offering a 20 percent discount on this package. The tour is now available at a starting price of Rs. 76,905 per person on a twin-sharing basis, making this unique spiritual journey more affordable for travelers.
