An Iranian delegation attending high-level talks with the United States in Pakistan reportedly altered its travel plans dramatically after receiving credible security threats, highlighting the tense and volatile environment surrounding the negotiations.

According to officials and members of the delegation, the team was warned of a potential attack on their aircraft while travelling for the talks in Islamabad. The threat was described as serious enough to prompt immediate changes in travel arrangements. 

In response, the delegation reportedly abandoned its original flight plan and secretly boarded a different aircraft. The plane was later diverted mid-journey, after which the group continued their return to Iran using alternative means, including train, bus, and road transport, in an effort to avoid detection and ensure safety.

Members of the delegation claimed that intelligence inputs suggested a real possibility of an attack, including fears that their plane could be targeted during transit. The incident underscores the high-risk nature of the diplomatic mission, which took place amid ongoing conflict and deep mistrust between the involved parties.
