India has strongly rebuked Pakistan at the United Nations, dismissing Islamabad’s remarks on Operation Sindoor as “self-serving, misleading, and divorced from facts.” New Delhi made it clear that Pakistan has no moral or legal standing to comment on India’s internal security operations, particularly given its long and well-documented record of sponsoring cross-border terrorism.

Responding to Pakistan’s statements at the UN forum, India’s Permanent Mission said Islamabad was attempting to deflect international attention from its own failures by resorting to propaganda and misinformation. India underlined that Operation Sindoor was a legitimate and measured counter-terror operation carried out to protect its citizens from terror networks operating with impunity across the border.

Indian officials stressed that Pakistan continues to misuse international platforms to spread false narratives while refusing to acknowledge its role as a safe haven for terrorist groups. They pointed out that the international community is well aware of Pakistan’s history of shielding UN-designated terrorists and using terrorism as an instrument of state policy.

Calling Pakistan’s remarks “hypocritical,” India reminded the UN that Islamabad remains on global monitoring lists for terror financing and has repeatedly failed to take credible action against extremist organisations operating from its soil. New Delhi asserted that lectures on human rights and security from such a state carry no credibility.

India further noted that Pakistan’s attempts to internationalise bilateral matters are a deliberate strategy to divert attention from its deepening internal crises, including economic collapse, political instability, and rising extremist violence at home. Officials said that instead of indulging in theatrics at the UN, Pakistan should focus on dismantling terror infrastructure and addressing the grievances of its own people.

Reiterating its position, India stated that issues related to Jammu and Kashmir and counter-terror operations are strictly internal matters and rejected any third-party interference. New Delhi reaffirmed its commitment to combating terrorism in all forms and called on the international community to hold Pakistan accountable for its actions rather than rewarding its persistent disinformation campaigns.

India’s sharp response once again highlighted the growing international fatigue with Pakistan’s repetitive narratives and underscored New Delhi’s resolve to push back firmly against any attempt to distort facts on global platforms.
