India Exposes Pakistan's Propaganda Push at UN General Assembly

India delivered a sharp rebuke to Pakistan at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), accusing Islamabad of repeatedly misusing international platforms to promote a divisive, misleading narrative rather than engaging in constructive dialogue. New Delhi said Pakistan’s statements reflected a pattern of distortion aimed at distracting attention from its own domestic failures and continued support for cross-border terrorism.
Speaking at the UNGA, India’s representative firmly rejected Pakistan’s remarks on regional issues, stating that Islamabad has turned multilateral forums into stages for propaganda. India underlined that the UN should not be exploited to legitimise falsehoods or advance agendas that fuel division and instability.
Indian officials highlighted Pakistan’s persistent attempts to internationalise bilateral matters while ignoring its obligations under international law. They pointed out that Pakistan continues to harbour and support terrorist entities, a reality that has been repeatedly flagged by the global community. According to India, Pakistan’s rhetoric at the UN is designed to deflect scrutiny from its record on terrorism, minority rights, and governance.
New Delhi also accused Pakistan of abusing the language of human rights while failing to protect its own citizens. India noted that minorities in Pakistan face systematic discrimination and violence, and that dissent is routinely suppressed through intimidation and coercive state practices. These internal challenges, India said, stand in stark contrast to Pakistan’s claims of moral authority on international platforms.
Reiterating its position on Jammu and Kashmir, India stressed that the region is an integral part of the country and that any references by Pakistan are legally baseless. India warned that repeated attempts to raise the issue at the UN only undermine the credibility of Pakistan’s diplomatic engagement.
India concluded by urging the UNGA to focus on genuine global challenges rather than allowing itself to be used as a platform for divisive narratives. The statement reinforced New Delhi’s view that peace and cooperation in the region can only be achieved when Pakistan abandons its confrontational posture and addresses the realities within its own borders.
