Actor and politician Hema Malini has shared her first heartfelt post following the passing of her husband, legendary actor Dharmendra, expressing profound grief and remembering him as the centre of her life. On Thursday, she took to X to pay tribute to Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, just days before his 90th birthday on December 8.

In her emotional note, Hema reflected on their decades together, describing Dharmendra as “everything” to her, whose presence had profoundly shaped her life. Alongside a picture of him, she wrote: “Dharam ji. He was many things to me—loving husband, devoted father to our daughters Esha and Ahaana, friend, philosopher, guide, poet, my ‘go-to’ person in all times of need; in fact, he was everything to me, always, through both good and bad times.”

She added that Dharmendra won the hearts of her entire family with his warmth and affection. “As a public figure, his talent, humility despite immense popularity, and universal appeal made him a unique icon, unmatched among all legends. His enduring fame and accomplishments in cinema will remain forever,” she said.

Calling her loss “indescribable,” Hema shared how difficult it is to imagine life without him: “My personal loss is indescribable, and the void left behind will stay with me for the rest of my life. After years of togetherness, I am left with countless memories to cherish the many special moments we shared.” In another post, she shared a carousel of old memories, captioned “Some memorable moments…,” featuring pictures of the couple through various phases of life. Dharmendra’s final rites were conducted at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Vile Parle.
