Eighteen India-backed militants were killed in two Balochistan operations, ISPR reported.

Security forces in Pakistan have recently eliminated eighteen terrorists affiliated with the Indian-backed militant group Fitna al-Hindustan in two separate intelligence-based operations conducted in Balochistan. This development was announced by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the military's media wing, highlighting continued efforts to combat terrorism in the region.
The first operation took place in the rugged terrain of the Chiltan Mountains in Quetta district. Based on confirmed intelligence inputs, Pakistani troops engaged the terrorists at their location, resulting in a fierce firefight. The encounter led to the killing of fourteen militants linked to Indian sponsorship. Shortly afterward, another operation was carried out in the Buleda area of Kech district, where security forces raided a terrorist hideout, successfully neutralizing four more militants.
Apart from the fatalities inflicted on the militants, the operations also yielded the recovery of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, underscoring the active role the slain terrorists played in multiple violent activities. The military confirmed that sanitization operations are still ongoing to root out any remaining hostile elements in the area.
These counter-terrorism efforts fall under "Azm-e-Istehkam," a broader strategic campaign approved by the Federal Apex Committee as part of Pakistan's National Action Plan to eliminate foreign-sponsored terrorism. The campaign reflects a sustained commitment to counter not only domestic insurgents but also external proxies aiming to destabilize the region. This recent success demonstrates the operational capability and resolve of Pakistan’s security forces in tackling terrorist networks, especially those with external backing. It also highlights the challenges faced by the country in safeguarding its territorial integrity against proxy warfare.
The elimination of these terrorists may contribute to diminishing the operational capacity of Fitna al-Hindustan, but security experts suggest that continued vigilance and intelligence-driven operations will be vital to prevent resurgence. This episode adds to a series of ongoing military efforts across Pakistan's frontier regions aimed at dismantling militant infrastructures.
