Prime Minister Takaichi received a ceremonial welcome at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan, where Prime Minister Modi introduced her to members of his Cabinet and other dignitaries.

Sharing details of the welcome ceremony, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said the two nations continue to build a future-oriented partnership founded on trust and common values. He highlighted that the visit reflects the deepening relationship between India and Japan. Expressing appreciation for the warm reception, the Japanese government posted on X that Prime Minister Takaichi was delighted to be in India. In another update, Japan's Cabinet Public Relations Office noted that following the ceremonial welcome, the two leaders would proceed with their summit-level talks.

Prime Minister Takaichi is on a three-day official visit to India from July 1 to July 3 at the invitation of Prime Minister Modi.
