The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has asserted that its campaign known as Operation Herof II is still ongoing six days after it began, dismissing repeated statements from Pakistan’s military as misleading and propaganda. The insurgent group’s claim came in a statement issued by BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch, who said Islamabad’s official accounts of the conflict do not reflect the situation on the ground.

In its message, the BLA accused the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and other Pakistani authorities of issuing contradictory and inaccurate reports about the operation. According to the group, Islamabad has repeatedly announced the end of the offensive and the elimination of its fighters — claims the BLA described as false and aimed at covering up battlefield setbacks.

The separatist organisation said its campaign continues with resolve and “military success,” and insisted that only it will be able to declare the operation’s conclusion. The statement alleged that the Pakistani military has tried to obscure its own casualties by withholding identities and conducting unpublicised burials, while BLA fighters publicly honour those killed.

The BLA also accused Pakistani forces of using propaganda to inflate claims of enemy deaths and conceal institutional failures, including corruption and enforced disappearances. It claimed widespread support and cooperation from the local Baloch population, saying that traditional media narratives fail to capture the depth of resistance.

According to the group, evidence of its progress — including images and videos of captured territory, damaged military posts and seized equipment — will be released when it decides the operation is complete. The BLA’s rebuttal comes amid conflicting reports about the insurgency’s trajectory and ongoing clashes between militants and Pakistani security forces in the restive province of Balochistan.
