The Ministry of Home Affairs has postponed the nationwide Operation Shield civil defence mock drill originally set for May 29 in Gujarat, Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Jammu, and Haryana due to administrative reasons. This exercise, designed to improve emergency readiness in border states, will be rescheduled. Punjab intends to hold its drill on June 3, while Haryana will carry on with its drill as scheduled.
