The India-US bilateral trade agreement is moving closer to finalisation, US Ambassador to India Sergio Gor has said. Addressing the USISPF Leadership Summit 2026, Gor stated that negotiations have entered the final phase, with only a small portion of the deal remaining to be resolved after nearly 18 months of discussions. He also highlighted Donald Trump’s focus on expanding economic cooperation with India, describing the growing partnership between the two countries as mutually beneficial and a “win-win” for both sides.
