India's homegrown Ghatak stealth combat drone programme is gaining renewed focus as the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) speeds up the development of advanced unmanned strike systems. Built as a stealthy flying-wing Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle (UCAV), the Ghatak drone is intended to deploy precision-guided munitions and operate in heavily fortified airspace, all while eliminating the risk to human pilots.
