BJP national president Nitin Nabin is leading two foot marches today as part of the party’s “Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao” (Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy) campaign, with rallies being organised in Bhagalpur, Bihar, and Kolkata. The initiative is aimed at countering what the BJP describes as Opposition-driven misinformation, disinformation and attempts to create political instability. The marches come a day after the INDIA bloc organised a major rally at Delhi’s Ramlila Maidan, where opposition leaders raised allegations of “vote chori” (vote theft). In Bhagalpur, the march is scheduled to begin at 11 am from Lajpat Park and conclude at Seva Jyoti Chowk around 12:30 pm. The Kolkata procession will start from College Street at 3 pm and is expected to reach Dharmatala by 5:30 pm. Nabin will reportedly be accompanied in Kolkata by West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari and state BJP president Samik Bhattacharya.
