Sudhanshu Trivedi says Rahul Gandhi lacks maturity to be Leader of Opposition.

BJP MP and senior spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi launched a strong attack on Congress MP and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making "cheap and objectionable" remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Trivedi said Rahul lacks the maturity and wisdom to handle the role of LoP, criticizing his comments as politically shallow.
Responding to Rahul Gandhi’s statement that the BJP-RSS “runs away under pressure,” Trivedi countered by saying that it was the BJP that reduced Congress to irrelevance in many states. He cited historical events like the 1948 Kashmir conflict, the 1971 war, and the 26/11 attacks as examples of Congress "surrenders," blaming the party’s leadership for past failures.
Trivedi also defended PM Modi's leadership, saying he gave moral strength to the army, contrasting it with Congress’s past decisions. On Rahul’s reference to the US Seventh Fleet during the 1971 war, Trivedi said it was the Soviet Union’s intervention that supported India, questioning why Congress didn’t reclaim PoK then.
The BJP’s strong response came after Rahul Gandhi’s remarks in Madhya Pradesh, where he accused Modi of "surrendering" to the US during Operation Sindoor and mocked his reaction to a call from Donald Trump. Gandhi contrasted this with Indira Gandhi’s stand in 1971, calling the BJP-RSS cowardly. Rahul reiterated his views on X, saying Modi “surrendered” after Trump’s call, and that Congress leaders had the courage to stand up to global powers. His remarks drew sharp criticism from BJP leaders like Sambit Patra, CR Kesavan, and Pradeep Bhandari, who accused him of insulting the country, its army, and Indian values.
