As the Narendra Modi-led NDA government completed 11 years in power, BJP President and Union Minister JP Nadda on Monday highlighted the government’s key achievements, including good governance, a transformation in India’s political culture, and several bold decisions. Speaking at a press conference, Nadda stated that Prime Minister Modi has transformed the country’s political culture, establishing a new norm and order. He said, "Completing 11 years under PM Modi’s leadership is a significant milestone. The work done during this period is remarkable and unprecedented. PM Modi has changed Indian politics and its culture. Eleven years ago, politics was dominated by appeasement and division to hold on to power. Modi introduced politics based on performance, accountability, and transparency, making the government responsible to the people."

Nadda added, "I can proudly say that the past 11 years have changed the political culture and established a new normal. This government is effective, decisive, and promotes economic discipline." Praising the Modi government’s efforts, the BJP chief noted that these years have built a strong foundation for a developed and self-reliant India. He said, "The Modi government is a people-centric administration with transparency and a futuristic approach. We call this period the Amrit Kaal, laying the groundwork for a truly developed Bharat."

Criticizing the previous UPA government, Nadda remarked that it was plagued by corruption and negativity, which Modi replaced with optimism. "Before 2014, corruption and pessimism prevailed. Since then, under Modi’s leadership, things have changed — negativity turned into hope. People now proudly say, ‘Modi hai to mumkin hai.’ This decade will be the base for future development with policies focused on performance, transformation, and reform," he said.

Nadda highlighted key decisions during Modi’s tenure, including the abrogation of Article 370, abolition of Triple Talaq, the Waqf Amendment Act, the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA), demonetization, and women’s reservation. He said, "With the mantra ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,’ the government took bold steps like removing Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir, a move once thought impossible. Voter turnout in Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections was 63%, reflecting public support. Similarly, abolishing Triple Talaq was a significant step for women’s rights. Other reforms include the Waqf Amendment, CAA, and demonetization."

Narendra Modi first took oath as India’s Prime Minister on May 26, 2014, and is currently serving his third consecutive term after winning the 2024 elections. To mark the occasion, the Union government released a detailed e-book outlining achievements across various sectors over the past 11 years. The year 2025 marks 11 years of Modi’s leadership.
