Court Stays Arrest of Khan Sir in Patna Coaching Centre Firing Case

A local court in Patna has granted interim relief to noted educator and YouTuber Khan Sir by staying his arrest in connection with a firing incident linked to his coaching institute in the Bihar capital. The court order came after Khan Sir, whose real name is Faisal Khan, filed a plea seeking protection from arrest following an FIR registered in the case. The matter is currently under investigation, and the court has directed that no coercive action be taken against him until the next hearing.
The case relates to an incident reported outside a coaching institute in Patna’s Kadamkuan area, where a clash allegedly broke out between two groups. During the disturbance, gunshots were reportedly fired, leading to panic in the locality. Police later detained security guards associated with the institute and recovered firearms as part of the investigation. Authorities subsequently added Khan Sir’s name to the case under various sections of the law, including charges related to violence and the Arms Act.
During the hearing, the defence argued that Khan Sir was not directly involved in the firing and claimed the case was being exaggerated. The legal team also stated that the security personnel acted in response to chaos outside the coaching premises. Police officials said CCTV footage and witness statements are being examined to determine the sequence of events and identify those responsible for the violence.
The incident has triggered widespread discussion in Patna's coaching industry, which has witnessed growing competition among educational institutes in recent years. The controversy also gained significant attention online due to Khan Sir’s popularity among students preparing for competitive examinations. Authorities are continuing their probe into the case. Further hearings are expected in the coming days.
