SP chief Akhilesh Yadav accuses Deputy CM Maurya and Pathak of creating division between communities.

Samajwadi Party President and MP Akhilesh Yadav has accused the Uttar Pradesh BJP of internal conflict. He claimed that the two Deputy Chief Ministers, Keshav Prasad Maurya and Brajesh Pathak, are stirring tensions between two communities. Sharing a post on X, Akhilesh said that in BJP’s internal power struggle, the two Deputy CMs in Kaushambi are pitting communities against each other. He said one Deputy CM has wronged the 'Pal' community, treating them like pawns, while the other has shown fake sympathy towards his own community. This has upset supporters on both sides, leading those with past rivalries to become active behind the scenes.
He added that a major battle is underway within the BJP, and ordinary people are suffering as a result. According to him, even the BJP leadership above the Deputy CMs are at odds, with central leaders supporting those playing politics in Kaushambi. He described the situation as a divisive and unpleasant game where BJP politics in Kaushambi, Lucknow, and Delhi are making communities fight, hurting the public.
Akhilesh criticized the Deputy Chief Ministers for staying silent on caste-based atrocities. He pointed out that some leaders whose communities face caste discrimination are remaining quiet to protect their positions. In Kaushambi, he said, some are trying to show activism to gain support from their oppressed communities. He asserted that BJP leaders care neither for the people nor any community but are focused on regaining lost influence. However, he said, the public is now alert and will no longer allow BJP’s divisive politics to succeed. The infighting among BJP leaders is causing harm to all sections of society.
Akhilesh also attacked BJP’s divisive tactics, comparing them to British colonial strategies of divide and rule, and warned the public to be cautious. He claimed Kaushambi is suffering from BJP’s injustice, with communities being manipulated against each other, and warned that BJP leaders will continue exploiting divisions for political gain unless people stay vigilant.
He further alleged that BJP workers fabricate false accusations, FIRs, and legal cases against those who oppose the party, but people are increasingly uniting against BJP. He said this unity is countering BJP’s conspiracies, and victims and oppressed groups have come together to defeat the party. Akhilesh concluded that BJP’s injustice will eventually be defeated.
