Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena jointly inaugurated the redeveloped Sadbhavana Park in Gautam Nagar on Tuesday. During the event, CM Gupta announced the formation of a single central committee to handle the Yamuna cleaning project, replacing the earlier 20 committees. This new committee will include representatives from the Central Government, Delhi Government, MCD, and relevant departments. She also mentioned that a drone survey will be conducted on the drains flowing into the Yamuna. Additionally, 40 new sewage treatment plants (STPs) will be constructed, and pollution levels will be monitored at 67 points along the river.

On Monday, CM Gupta conducted a public hearing (‘Jansunvai’) in Shalimar Bagh, where she engaged directly with residents, listened to their concerns, and directed officials to act immediately. She shared moments from the event on social media, emphasizing that public trust is the foundation of governance and that people's voices guide policy decisions.

In another post, she highlighted the importance of direct communication in public service and reiterated her commitment to addressing every complaint and suggestion with responsibility. She also participated in the 'Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0' event, announcing a target of planting over 70 lakh trees this season. She expressed joy that all departments and schools in Delhi are actively taking part and urged individuals and social groups to plant at least one tree in honor of “Mother Nature and Earth” to support a greener Delhi.
